Marine Agencies Australia is a Brisbane based family business. The principal, John
Coupland, has a history of competitive sailing and has been a worker in the marine
industry for over 20 years. Since 1985 we have represented other Australian firms
who have wanted their marine products sold in Queensland. The business evolved through
the importation of products, manufacturing of items, and as Agent for southern companies.

Our main principal is the AUSTRALIAN YACHT WINCH COMPANY with whom we have built
a great partnership. This firm is WHOLLY AUSTRALIAN OWNED by the Hutton family with an
impressive manufacturing plant in Sydney. They are the only yacht sheet winch manufacturer
in the Southern Hemisphere. We are impressed by their constant research and development
for manufacturing reliability. For over 30 years they have been increasing their range of
marine products with the goal always being to make a strong, superior piece of yachting

RUTGERSON DECK HARDWARE: The newest venture by the Hutton firm takes us into the deck
hardware business. They are the sole Australian importer of Rutgerson Deck Hardware.
Again another family oriented business based in Marstrand, Sweden where every step of the
manufaturing process is undertaken. The truly distinquishing features of Rutgerson
are reliability, trust and performance. Among their superb products are blocks, rope

RAMP & PONTOON WINCHES: In keeping with our winch heritage we promote the ramp and pontoon
